چکیده

The use of nanorefrigerants in Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) units is believed to affect the cycle environment performance, but backed with very few relevant studies. For this purpose, a life assessment (LCA) has been performed for ORC system using nanorefrigerant, material and energy input, characteristic indicators comprehensive index environmental impact, total consumption payback time (BPBT) whole Al2O3/R141b nanorefrigerant were calculated. Total indexes reveal that ECER-135 decrease by 1.5% after adding 0.2% Al2O3 nanoparticles R141b. Based on contribution analysis sensitivity analysis, it can be found out manufacturing most critical stage, where, component production greatest, followed preparation process R141b, transportation phase, small. retirement phase which good benefits affects result significantly recycling important materials. Meanwhile, main cause suggestion improvement traced respectively. Finally, impacts various power generations compared, results show route obvious advantage. Among renewable energy, minimal impact only 0.67% coal-fired generation. current work about 14.34% other nations’ PV results.

Waste Heat Recovery of a PEMFC System by Using Organic Rankine Cycle

In this study, two systems are brought forward to recover the waste heat of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), which are named the organic Rankine cycle (ORC), and heat pump (HP) combined organic Rankine cycle (HPORC). The performances of both systems are simulated on the platform of MATLAB with R123, R245fa, R134a, water, and ethanol being selected as the working fluid, respectively...

Dynamic modeling and simulation of an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) system for waste heat recovery

The paper proposes two alternative approaches for the design of a dynamic model for an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) to be used for the design of control and diagnostics systems. The model has been developed in Modelica language and simulated with Dymola. The two modeling approaches, based on moving boundary and discretization techniques, are compared in terms of accuracy, complexity and simulati...

Increasing waste heat recovery from an internal combustion engine by a dual-loop non-organic Rankine Cycle

This research proposes the combination of a dual-loop non-organic Rankine cycle (DNORC) with an internal combustion engine to increase the output power of the recovery system by focusing on the increase in the energy input and system efficiency. In doing so, it investigates the strategy of increasing the mean effective temperature of heat addition in the high-temperature Rankine cycle (HTRC) (t...
